Wolves’ Gomes is being pursued by Arsenal

According to reports, Arsenal has surpassed Manchester United in the competition to acquire Joao Gomes, a midfielder for Wolves.

In his first full season in the Premier League under Gary O’Neil, the 23-year-old has made an impression.

After moving from Flamengo to the Molineux club for £15 million in January of last year, Gomes has made 42 appearances, earning a call-up to the Brazilian national squad.

Despite United’s interest, O Dia claims that Arsenal is the front-runner to get Gomes during the summer transfer season.

The midfield player, who has a contract with Wolves through 2028, is apparently something the Gunners will try to negotiate with Wolves this summer.
