Vice President Kashim Shettima leaves for UNGA 79 in New York

Kashim Shettima, the vice president of Nigeria, departed Abuja for New York in order to attend the 79th session of the UN General Assembly.

President Bola Tinubu directed the vice president’s trip, and he has given the vice president instructions to head the Nigerian delegation to the international gathering.

Throughout the session, Shettima will give Nigeria’s national statement, take part in significant side events, and hold bilateral talks.

September 24–September 28, 2024, is when the high-level general debate, “Leaving No One Behind: Acting Together for the Advancement of Peace, Sustainable Development, and Human Dignity for Present and Future Generations,” is slated to take place.
