Popular crossdresser Idris Okuneye, better known as Bobrisky, is alleged to have been apprehended by law enforcement while trying to flee to the Benin Republic in order to evade a House of Representatives investigation hearing. This claim was made by social media activist VeryDarkMan.
Bobrisky was reportedly being held by Nigerian immigration after he was apprehended at the Seme border. In an audio recording made public by VDM, Bobrisky said that his godfather’s influence prevented him from serving out his six-month sentence in Kirikiri prison and that instead, he was able to bribe EFCC officials with N15 million.
The House of Representatives held an investigation hearing after this disclosure, but Bobrisky was ill and was unable to attend.
