The way singer Doja Cat gets “spoken to” and “treated” on social media led her to deactivate her Instagram account

Doja Cat announced to her fans that she was leaving Instagram because of the way she was being “spoken to” and “treated” on the platform. She then deleted her account.

The 28-year-old American singer captioned a picture she posted online of a stone crab claw smoking a cigarette: ‘Hey i’m gonna deactivate because I’m not really feeling this anymore. you guys take care of yourselves.’

She added, ‘I like coming here to find inspo and see people being creative but I just feel this is getting to be too much.’

‘The way im spoken to on here and treated makes me have f****d up thoughts. Please watch how you talk to and about people on the internet. Bye.’

Her withdrawal from the app coincides with some of her admirers’ worries that Doja Cat and J. Cyrus could have broken up in the last few weeks.

After social media users claimed to have noticed her account on the celebrity dating app Raya, rumors started to circulate.

Although the two were initially observed together in November 2022, they were not connected until May 2023, when they were sighted having dinner together in New York City.
