The CEO of Bayer Leverkusen recommends Xabi Alonso to lead Real Madrid

Carro, the CEO of Bayer Leverkusen, made a suggestion that manager Xabi Alonso would soon take over as Real Madrid’s coach.

Prior to the upcoming season, Alonso has already stated he would not be leaving the recently crowned Bundesliga winners.

The former midfield player for Spain was one of the top picks to sign with Liverpool or Bayern Munich in the summer.

Carro, nevertheless, has since asserted that Alonso might not refuse Real.

“It’s possible that Xabi Alonso will become Real Madrid manager one day, yes,” Carro told Diario AS.

“Many clubs want Alonso, maybe one day he can work for one of them, especially those where he used to play, but he’s happy here now, that’s why he’s staying.

“Release clause? It’s a confidential matter between us.”
