After retiring from professional football in September, Raphael Varane, a former defender for Real Madrid and Manchester United, was named as a new board member for the Serie A team Como.
After an injury-plagued tenure at Como, Varane was appointed, and football transfer specialist Romano has confirmed Varane’s selection as a new board member.
Following Varane’s retirement, the decision was validated.
“Raphael Varane has been appointed as a new board member for Como, all signed. The decision has been confirmed after his retirement,” Romano tweeted.
