PSG boss Enrique said, “We need to get used to playing without Mbappé”

After their 0-0 draw with Monaco on Friday, Luis Enrique, the manager of Paris Saint-Germain, declared that it was “my decision” to take Kylian Mbappé off the field at halftime.

Enrique has taken Mbappé out of the game early in the second straight game.

The 25-year-old was substituted out in the 65th minute of last week’s 1-1 draw against Rennes.

Enrique reaffirmed in his post-game remarks on Friday that the club needs to get ready for life without Mbappe.

Enrique told reporters, “I have been in football long enough, you should know that everything is important in this kind of club.”

“Sooner rather than later, we will play without Mbappé so I’m looking for the best option for the team.

“Sometimes I’m right, sometimes I’m wrong. We need to get used to playing without Mbappé. I will do what is best for my team. I don’t want to create controversy, it’s my decision.”
