A mysterious announcement has revealed that Prince Harry will be returning to the UK, but Meghan Markle will not be going with him.
A representative for the Invictus Games announced that the Duke of Sussex will attend the Wednesday, May 8, Service of Thanksgiving at St. Paul’s Cathedral.
It comes after days of conjecture on his attendance status for the event, which will commemorate the tenth anniversary of the games for wounded service members.
A message posted on the social media pages for the Invictus Games said: “The Invictus Games Foundation will celebrate 10 years of changing lives and saving lives with a ‘Service of Thanksgiving’ at St Paul’s Cathedral on May 8th.
“We will be joined by our Patron, Prince Harry, The Duke of Sussex, actor Damian Lewis and members of the worldwide Invictus Community to mark the occasion.”
Meghan Markle’s attendance is not mentioned in the announcement.
Only two days will pass before Harry’s son Archie celebrates his fifth birthday on the day of the event.
In collaboration with the Ministry of Defence, Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, established the Invictus Games, which conducted their inaugural competition in London from September 10–14, 2014.
