President Tinubu says to NLC “You’re not the only voice of Nigerians”

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has been forewarned by President Bola Tinubu to uphold peace and put an end to the ongoing strikes since they are not the sole voice of Nigerians.

On Thursday, February 29, he gave the speech during the Lagos Red Line rail’s commissioning.

On Tuesday, February 27, the NLC and other affiliated unions staged a demonstration in response to the nation’s high cost of living, inflation, insecurity, and suffering.

President Tinubu said during his speech at the Lagos Red Line rail’s commissioning said;

“Allow me to throw a jab here. The Labour Union should understand that  no matter how much we cling to our freedom and right, a called for strike within Nine months of an administration is unacceptable, If you want to participate in the electoral process, wait until 2027,  If not, maintain peace. You’re not the only voice of Nigerians.”
