Ange Postecoglou, the manager of Tottenham Hotspur, asserted that his team’s 3-2 loss to Arsenal was “easy” for them.
Before Spurs rallied with two goals in the second half, the Gunners had taken a three-goal lead at the interval.
In the end, it was insufficient, as Postecoglou’s team’s prospects of making it into the Champions League were diminished.
“We allowed them way too easy access to our goal in the first half and it is not acceptable at this level and we paid the price,” Postecoglou said in an interview with Sky Sports.
“We could not come out here in the second half and not give our supporters a little bit of hope, but it still very disappointing
“We are still not as resilient as we can be especially in the transition moments or set pieces. We allow them far too easy access to our goal. They are a good side and they will punish you if you do not show that steel protecting your goal.”
