Jose Peseiro has maintained that no one has been in touch with him regarding taking over as the Super Eagles’ head coach once more.
This was said by the Portuguese coach in a Soccernet interview.
After his contract with the Nigeria Football Federation, or NFF, expired in February, Peseiro resigned from the position.
The NFF then declared that the position was vacant, and many applicants, including Michael Nsien and Emmanuel Amunike, were connected to the position.
The final shortlist included three European coaches: Toni Conceicao, Domenec Torrent, and Danny Bujis.
There were rumors circulating during all of this that Peseiro may be invited to rejoin the team.
The 63-year-old may be in talks with the Ministry of Sports, according to rumors.
Peseiro, however, has refuted the rumors, claiming that he has not received any communication from the Ministry or the NFF.
He claims that he is now taking advantage of his vacation and watching matches, particularly those that Real Madrid will soon be playing.
