Paul Pogba provides an update following his four-year doping suspension

Paul Pogba, a former star of Manchester United, gave an update following his February four-year football doping ban.

Pogba, 30, tested positive for high testosterone levels after Juventus’ 2023–24 season opener, a match in which he did not play as a substitute.

His drug test resulted in a temporary suspension in September 2023. The Italian anti-doping prosecutor’s office then gave the former World Cup winner for France the penalty that could potentially end his career.

Pogba subsequently expressed his opinion that the “verdict is incorrect” and expressed his sadness, disbelief, and heartbreak over the outcome.
The French midfielder now admits that the past few months have been “tough,” but he maintains that he is “looking forward” to contesting his punishment.
The midfielder for Juventus told Forbes how the ban has affected his life; ‘It’s difficult to be totally honest2Football has been part of my life for as long as I can remember.

‘However, I have my family, my faith, my friends, and my fans who have supported me, which makes things easier. All will be well.’

‘Although I can’t speak so much about this, all roads lead to the appeal date,’ he added to Forbes.

‘Until then, my focus is on staying fit and looking forward to the appeal.’
