The pre-Olympic friendly between the Super Falcons and Canada will take place behind closed doors, according to an announcement made by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on Monday.
This match will be the Super Falcons’ lone exhibition match before to the 2024 Olympic Games.
The news was announced on the NFF’s X platform.
“Our Super Falcons will be taking on reigning Olympic champions Canada in a closed-door friendly on July 17 as a final test before flying to France for the Olympics!”
The teams’ most recent match at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup ended in a 0-0 tie.
In a friendly played last weekend, Canada defeated Australia 2-1.
On Thursday, the Super Falcons will take a plane to Paris for the Olympics.
