Owner of Man City going on a “charm offensive” to retain Guardiola

According to the Daily Mirror, Manchester City owner Sheikh Mansour is launching a vigorous charm drive to keep Pep Guardiola at the Etihad.

Guardiola’s current contract expires next summer, and chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarek has promised to do everything he can to persuade him to sign an extension that would extend his reign for more than ten years.

It is believed that Mansour invited Guardiola into his home this week for a discussion before his manager stated that he could leave the club when his contract expires next year.

But City will not allow the six-time Premier League winner leave without a struggle to persuade him that he still has much to offer in Manchester.
