Nigerian actor Emmanuel France has passed away, confirmed by popular filmmaker Femi Ogedengbe on Instagram.
France, who was one of the actors Ogedengbe took to Tanzania in 2006, was a part of three movies he shot together. The cause of his death remains undisclosed.
France’s death comes just hours after Big Larry’s death, and Nollywood has lost dozens of practitioners since January 2024,
Ogedengbe expressed his sadness over his death by recalling their shared fond memories. He wrote: “Rest in peace to one of Nollywood’s legends, Uncle Emmanuel France. One of the actors I took to Tanzania in 2006. We shot three movies together: She Is My Sister, The Director and Cross My Sin R.I.P.”
