After an unspecified illness, Nigerian film director Dimeji Ajibola passed dead. Ajibola was renowned for his innovative contributions to interactive media, virtual worlds, animation, movies, and visual effects.
He had a broad education, having studied visual effects at VFXLearning, advanced character animation at Animation Mentor, and filmmaking and cinematography at the New York Film Academy.
Hoodrush, the 2012 urban musical film directed by Ajibola, took home several honours, including Best Supporting Actor at the AMAA Awards, Best Actor and Soundtrack at the Nollywood Movies Awards, and Best Movie at the Green Me Film Festival in Germany.
