Mitchell departs Sheffield United voluntarily

Sheffield United has started the process of restructuring the hiring division.

Paul Mitchell, the head of recruiting, left the Blades by mutual consent. He had been with the team since 2016, but after several talks, he decided to go early for personal reasons. His current contract was supposed to expire this summer.

Stephen Bettis, CEO of Sheffield United, made the following statement: “The timing of the change suits both parties and we are now working towards having a new team in place ahead of the summer transfer window.

“On behalf of the board and the club, I’d like to place on record our thanks to ‘Mitch’ for his hard work and dedication to the club. He is well-known and respected in the city and the football fraternity, we wish him well.”
