Michael Owen, a former striker for Liverpool, believes Manchester City will win a record-tying fifth straight championship the following year.
Last season, Pep Guardiola’s squad made league history by becoming the first to win four straight titles.
To keep their title, City defeated rivals Arsenal and Liverpool.
Owen anticipates that, once again, Arsenal and Liverpool will be City’s main competitors in the upcoming campaign.
In advance of the upcoming season, Owen provided Prime Casino with the following top-four prediction: “Manchester City, Arsenal, Liverpool and I don’t think there is a standout for fourth.
“I don’t fancy Manchester United and Chelsea might be back to square one with a new manager so it might be Tottenham or even Aston Villa again.”
