Following preliminary talks in February, Manchester United is attempting to extend Kobbie Mainoo’s contract by this summer, as reported by Fabrizio Romano.
According to the transfer reporter, INEOS wants 18-year-old Mainoo to be one of the faces of the new initiative. INEOS took over football operations when Sir Jim Ratcliffe became a minority owner in February.
There are rumors that the midfield player would receive various add-ons and a pay raise in a new contract.
With a series of impressive performances, Mainoo—whose contract with Manchester United expires in 2027—was awarded his first England cap last month.
