The late One Direction star Liam Payne may have been high on the potent drug “cristal” when he passed away in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Authorities surmise that Payne was under the influence of the drug, which is linked to severe mood swings, hallucinations, and psychotic episodes. Payne’s heavily destroyed hotel room at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel suggests that his unpredictable behaviour may be related to the substance.
The question that police are currently debating is whether Payne’s usage of “cristal” may account for the disarray in his room and his apparent suicide. While they are awaiting toxicology findings on the drugs and pharmaceuticals discovered in Payne’s room, authorities have not yet confirmed the existence of “cristal” in his system.
Payne had previously disclosed that he had struggled with suicide ideas when he was in One Direction, but he stated earlier this year that he was clean.
Police are still looking into Payne’s death to see if “cristal” or other drugs had anything to do with his premature demise.
