Leonardo Bonucci, a former defender for Juventus, has acknowledged that in 2016, he declined offers to play for Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain because he wanted to remain near his son in Italy.
Although the city was prepared to pay €100 million for Bonucci, he chose to remain with Juventus and joined AC Milan the next year.
Bonucci has now confessed that he was pleased at Juventus at the time and that he was not interested in heading overseas. He stated that he joined Milan due to the well-known conflict with Massimiliano Allegri, and that he had already given Milan the all-clear when PSG and Manchester City contacted.
For Bonucci, there’s always a question mark when it comes to changing overseas.
