Klopp praises his team’s mature performance in the Carabao Cup final

Goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher has been singled out for praise by Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp for his “unbelievable and mature performance” in Sunday’s 1-0 victory against Chelsea in the Carabao Cup final.

One of the game’s stars was Irishman Kelleher, who produced several outstanding saves to maintain the scoreless until Virgil van Dijk headed home after 118 minutes.

After the Reds overcame Chelsea, Klopp remarked in his post-match interview that his team has the greatest backup in the league in Kelleher and the best goalkeeper in the world in Alisson Becker.

Klopp said in a post match interview: “I’m happy with Kelleher, very happy with him.”

“He played a very good game. Unbelievable! What a mature performance.”

“We have the best goalie in the world and the best number two in the world. I’m very happy for him, top game,” he added.
