Former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has made hints about joining the Premier League again. Prior to his dismissal in April 2021, he had won the competition three times, most recently at Tottenham.
In addition, Mourinho spent two and a half seasons as manager of Manchester United, winning the League Cup and Europa League while guiding the team to a second-place finish in 2018.
Speaking prior to Fenerbahce’s Europa League matchup with Manchester United, Mourinho said he wanted Man Utd to win because they had a better team than their current record indicates.
Before he rejoins the Premier League and takes on his current opponents, he believes the squad will eventually prosper.
“I want Man Utd to be successful,”
“I wish everyone there the best. I know only three or four players are from my time.
“You will think I’m bluffing but they have a better team than the results are showing. There is work there, sooner or later they will succeed.
“Hopefully before I come back to the Premier League and they become my opponents. At this moment they are just my opponents for one match,” he said.
