The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), according to Afrobeats musician David Adeleke, is the most dangerous institution in Nigeria. He claims that despite assurances, the INEC will not send results electronically.
During Edo State’s ongoing gubernatorial race, Davido made the accusation in a number of postings on his X handle.
He asked people of Edo to be prepared to track their ballots and results from voting places all the way to the state collation centre.
“The most dangerous institution in Nigeria @inecnigeria,” he wrote.
He added, “We already know that @inecnigeria will not transmit results electronically so everyone should be ready to follow the vote/result from the polling unit up until the state collation centre.
“Winning is one thing. Being declared a winner is another thing! …. From 7pm make una go Dey mount collation center !! #EdoDecide2024.”
