Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, has reportedly requested for Real Madrid’s Rodrygo in a potential swap trade for Julian Alvarez.
According to Catalan publication Nacional, Guardiola admires the Brazilian international.
This comes after Alvarez expressed dissatisfaction with his playing time under Guardiola at Manchester City.
Last season, the Argentina international played 54 games for City, scoring 19 goals and assisting 13 times.
However, the presence of Erling Haaland and Phil Foden has made him a backup option for Guardiola’s team.
Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are reportedly interested in Alvarez, as are Chelsea and Arsenal.
