High security while the court decides Adeleke’s ally Oyeyemi’s bail

Olalekan Oyeyemi, an associate of Governor Ademola Adeleke, is on trial for murder and terrorism at the Federal High Court in Osogbo, Osun State. On Tuesday, there was a noticeable security presence at the court’s entrance and grounds.

Both outside and inside the court were security personnel. There is also the suspect in court.

Recall that the Inspector General of Police brought Oyeyemi before the court on ten counts of murdering All Progressives Congress (APC) members and terrorism.

But he entered a not guilty plea and was placed on remand at the Ife Correctional Facility.

Based on Sections 162 and 165 of the Administration of Criminal Justice 2015, the prosecution’s attorney, Francis Osie, challenged the formal bail application that Oyeyemi’s attorney, Edmund Biriomoni, had submitted on seven grounds.

The bail hearing was postponed till today by the sitting court, Justice Emmanuel Ayoola.

The bail decision has not yet been made as of the report’s filing date.
