The schedule of Manchester City’s FA Cup semifinal matchup versus Chelsea has drawn criticism from the Football Association, or FA, according to manager Pep Guardiola.
At Wembley, City defeated AC Milan 1-0 with a late goal from Bernardo Silva.
However, Guardiola’s team appeared worn out for the whole of the match as Chelsea had plenty of scoring opportunities.
Guardiola told reporters “I don’t understand how we survived today. It’s unacceptable to play today. Today is one of the greatest things I have seen from my players.
“I just want to protect my players. It’s unacceptable, it’s common sense. I’m not asking for something special or privilege.”
