In a £10.2 million agreement, Ben Godfrey left Everton to join Atalanta, a Serie A team.
The 26-year-old defender, who came from Norwich City in October 2020, departs after making 93 appearances for the Blues.
With £1.7 million in add-ons, Atlanta will pay an initial £8.5 million charge.
