Graham Potter, the former manager of Chelsea, has thanked the club for the experience of his unappealing tenure, which started in the Swedish fourth division and finished in the Champions League’s round of eight.
Potter thinks it’s critically to view the past in a new light, take what we can from it, and go on.
He understands that being upset over being fired was a natural human response, but he has made an effort to put the last 12 to 13 years in perspective. He has found comfort in going to classes, watching other sports and organizations, and taking note of their issues.
Potter also enjoys taking his players to watch football in his own living room, away from the media spotlight and the constant scrutiny that comes with the job.
