Femi Falana reacts to allegation made against him by VeryDarkMan

Femi Falana, a human rights attorney, has reacted to accusations made in a widely shared recording by Martins Otse, a.k.a. VeryDarkMan.

Falana characterised the claim that he sought a N10 million presidential pardon for Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, as a cunning, vile, and careless attempt to damage his name.

Taiwo Olawanle, Falana’s attorney, asked that VeryDarkMan immediately retract the publication and provide an apology that would be posted on all platforms the following day. According to the legal expert, Falana had never discussed anything—not even Bobrisky’s purported pardon—with him.

If the official apology and retraction are not received in a day, Falana will carry out their client’s directive to pursue suitable legal action against VeryDarkMan for his dissemination of defamatory claims and incendiary publication, including monetary damages.
In addition, Bobrisky said that certain anonymous agents of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) demanded N15 million from him in exchange for the dismissal of allegations of money laundering against him.
