FC Porto suffers huge injury setback ahead of the Arsenal encounter

Porto might be missing Mehdi Taremi when they face Arsenal in the Champions League on Wednesday.

The Portuguese club disclosed that Taremi is suffering from an abductor issue in his right thigh.

The 31-year-old has 86 goals in 172 appearances in all competitions since joining from Rio Ave.

Taremi has struggled to find goals this season, scoring only three in the Primeira Liga and three more in other tournaments.

The Iran international has appeared in Porto’s previous two games and hopes to face Arsenal, but the club has stated that he suffered a muscle injury in training on Sunday and is seeking treatment.

Gonçalo Ribeiro, Marcano, and Zaidu are all doubts ahead of the match.
