Lorenzo Insigne, a former winger for Italy, is happy that Victor Osimhen joined Galatasaray from Napoli.
After failing to get a transfer to Chelsea or Al-Ahli, Osimhen signed a loan deal with Galatasaray in September.
Insigne is pleased that Osimhen has teamed up with another former Napoli player in Turkey and feels that Osimhen has the freedom to make his own decisions.
He thinks Osimhen and Mertens will play and enjoy themselves.
“I didn’t expect it. Victor is smart, and I am sure he made his own choices,” Lorenzo told Il Corriere dello Sport.
He added, “I don’t know what happened with Napoli, but I’m happy for him, especially because he’ll play with Mertens. I can see that they have fun together.”
