The player’s agent has confirmed that Artem Dovbyk’s transfer from Girona to Atletico Madrid has fallen through.
The top goalscorer in La Liga last season was certain to join Diego Simeone’s team, but according to his agent Oleksiy Lundovskyi, Atleti has not been able to provide him with the right financial terms.
Lundovskyi said to UkrFootball “Atletico Madrid is a big club, but we haven’t seen a serious project for Artem here.”
“Their financial offer is significantly lower than offers from other clubs interested in La Liga’s top scorer.”
