Defender Tanimu of the Super Eagles signs a contract with a League One team

Nigerian defender Benjamin Tanimu has signed a permanent contract with English League One team Crawley Town, having previously played for Tanzania Premier League team Singida Black Stars.

His services were hired for $850,000 by the Red Devils.

The 22-year-old agreed to a two-year deal with a one-year option.

“Our club has entered into an agreement with the CRAWLEY TOWN FC club in the UK that participates in LEAGUE ONE to sell our Nigerian player BENJAMIN TANIMU,” Singida Black Stars announced on Friday.

“The agreement, with a direct transfer fee (Direct Fee) and a Sell-on Fee of 20%, as well as fees for the quality and success of the player and the team for the next two seasons, is estimated at not less than $850,000.”
