According to Sky Germany, Bayern Munich is also considering Roberto de Zerbi, the manager of Brighton.
Xabi Alonso of Bayer Leverkusen is still the top target, and the entire team supports this decision.
Liverpool is also after Alonso, so other names are being considered in case they need to go elsewhere.
De Zerbi is one of those names, but they also know Barcelona likes him.
Others include Hansi Flick and Zinedine Zidane. As of right now, Julian Nagelsman’s name is not being mentioned.
Bayern, though, is making every effort to get Alonso.
During his announcement today, Max Eberl, the new sports director, declined to talk about their pursuit of Alonso. However, he did mention how successful the interview was when he spoke with Alonso at Borussia Monchengladbach a few years prior.
