Jose Peseiro, the Super Eagles’ head coach, has declared Ivory Coast the favourites to win the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
Nigeria faces the hosts on Sunday, hoping to win the trophy for the fourth time.
But, speaking to the media today, Peseiro feels the Ivorians have an advantage.
“Congratulations to Cote d’Ivoire for reaching the final, they are the favourite, but we want to win the AFCON,” Peseiro said.
He did add that he wishes to “win the trophy for the people of Nigeria”.
