A roster of 29 players has been named by Banyana Banyana head coach Desiree Ellis for the team’s matchup against the Nigerian Super Falcons in the last qualifying round for the 2024 Olympic Games.
On Monday, March 25, the African champions will begin training for the two matches.
Later this month, the team will be whittled down to 23 players.
On Friday, April 5, Nigeria will host the opening leg at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja.
The South Africa Football Association, or SAFA, will make the location of the rematch public in the days to come.
The overall champions will be guaranteed a spot at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
