Chelsea’s Andrey Santos, a midfielder, is returning to Strasbourg for the season on loan

Chelsea midfielder Andrey Santos, who made 11 appearances for the Ligue 1 team in the second half of the previous season, has returned to Strasbourg on a season-long loan, according to Newsmen.

The 20-year-old, who has yet to participate in the first squad at Stamford Bridge since joining from Vasco da Gama in January 2023, had a disappointing experience at Nottingham Forest during the 2023-24 season, appearing only twice in five months.

He made one Premier League game for Forest, coming on as a substitute against Liverpool at Anfield in October, before Chelsea ended his one-year loan in January.

This cleared the path for a more successful transfer to Strasbourg, another team in Blues owner BlueCo’s portfolio. He scored once, and the team, now managed by Liam Rosenior, finished 13th in Ligue 1.

In March 2023, he made his complete Brazil international debut in a friendly against Morocco.
