In the Premier League on Sunday, Chelsea overcame a deficit to secure a 1-1 draw at Manchester United thanks to a spectacular volley from Moises Caicedo.
After losing to Newcastle 2-0 in the Carabao Cup in the middle of the week, the Blues were hoping to recover. It was United’s first league game following Erik ten Hag’s departure.
Bruno Fernandes opened the score from the penalty spot after the first half finished without a goal. After Rasmus Hojlund was fouled in the vicinity, Fernandes sent Robert Sanchez in the opposite direction.
Five minutes later, Caicedo gave Chelsea the equaliser, and the two teams split the points. After ten games, United is in 13th place with 12 points, while Chelsea is now in fourth place with 18 points, ahead of Arsenal on goal differential.
