Gabriel Slonina, the goalkeeper for Chelsea, has signed a season-long loan to play for Barnsley in League One.
The US international signed a contract with the Blues in August 2022, but he was loaned to the Chicago Fire until the end of the MLS season.
Slonina played with Chelsea’s U21 team during the second half of the 2022–2023 season. The previous season, he was loaned to KAS Eupen in Belgium, where he made 34 appearances across all competitions.
