Dan Ashworth is said to be leaving Newcastle for Manchester United, therefore the club has begun its hunt for a new sports director.
The club has brought in the well-known Odgers Berndtson from around the world to spearhead the hiring process.
Paul Mitchell, the former sporting director of Monaco, Phil Giles and Lee Dykes of Brentford, and Tiago Pinto, the former CEO of Roma, are among the contenders.
