While Di Maria has announced his retirement from international football, Messi is reaching the end of his international career.
Both players, according to Scaloni, are special, and he has no intention of replacing the retired Fideo.
Lionel Scaloni said, “They are irreplaceable. They are not players that can be replaced, it is impossible,” Scaloni said in an interview with Clank! (via GOAL).
“There is no chance, both Fideo [Di Maria] and Leo [Messi] are unique players. In the case of Fideo, we will not look for a replacement.”
