Former Chelsea manager Antonio Conte claims the Blues would have dominated the Premier League if they had signed two of his transfer targets, Romelu Lukaku and Virgil van Dijk, in 2017.
Chelsea won the Premier League in Conte’s first season as manager at Stamford Bridge.
The next season, however, Chelsea finished outside of the top four, prompting Conte to leave the club in the summer.
“After my first season at Chelsea we spoke with Romelu Lukaku and Virgil van Dijk,” Conte told TeleFootball.
“I think with those two important players we could have changed the situation.
“After first season, we could have become dominant in England.”
