Anthony Joshua, the two-time unified world heavyweight champion, stated that Francis Ngannou, the former UFC champion, performed admirably in his matchup with Tyson Fury, the current WBC champion.
Joshua and Ngannou are scheduled to face off on Friday, March 8 of this year.
Remember how, in October of last year, Ngannou stunned the world by stopping Fury in the third round? But in the end, a split decision decided his loss in the fight.
Prior to his fight with Ngannou, Joshua stated that he is prepared for battle.
He said to Sky Sports “I just feel to myself I will always be here and ready to fight any time.”
“He [Ngannou] had a good outing as well against Tyson Fury who is the current WBC champion. So I think it will be good for me to see where I’m at,” he said.
