Anthony Gordon of Newcastle United has stated that negotiations for a new deal are “close.” After joining the team from Everton in 2023, he inked a long-term contract.
He is expected to sign new terms, though, following connections with Liverpool. Excited by the news, Gordon stated he will pay attention to it as soon as it becomes available.
After a challenging start to the season, Eddie Howe, the manager of Newcastle, lauded his performance for the “love” he received after he scored a penalty in a 1-1 draw against Manchester City.
Howe stressed the value of loving every player and giving them permission to enter the pitch in a secure setting where they feel cared for and protected.
