The Confederation of African Football, or CAF, has written a warning to Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen following Nigeria’s 2-1 loss to Ivory Coast in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations final on Sunday night.
Osimhen, who has been impressive for Nigeria at the 2023 AFCON, was unable to lead Jose Peseiro’s team to win over Ivory Coast.
William Troost-Ekong scored for the Super Eagles during the match.
In a tweet on X following the game, CAF said: “Heads up Victor, you made your country proud.”
