Maduka Okoye has promised to give it everything he has in order to take back the starting goalkeeping spot for the Super Eagles.
The Super Eagles’ goalkeeper, Maduka Okoye, has stated that he wants to take back the top spot. Following an error in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations match against Tunisia, he received no recognition for a period of two years.
Okoye, is now attempting to take back the No. 1 jersey. In addition to applauding Stanley Nwabali’s AFCON performance, he advised waiting patiently and concentrating on training in order to please the staff.
Regaining the No. 1 jersey is Okoye’s objective.
In an interview with Football Temple, he said, “Yeah, of course this is what I want, but Stanley (Nwabali) set a high point with a great AFCON, so I’m just patiently waiting, and trying to do my best in training and impress the staff as much as possible.”
