AFCON 2023: President Tinubu to witness Nigeria vs. Cote d’Ivoire live from Abidjan – CAF

Patrice Motsepe, head of the Confederation of African Football Federations (CAF), has announced that Nigerian head Bola Ahmed Tinubu would attend the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations final.

Nigeria and hosts Cote d’Ivoire will face off in the competition’s final on Sunday at the Alassanne Ouattara Stadium in Ebimpe, Abidjan.

During his news conference on Friday at the Palace de la Culture in Trechville, Abidjan, Motsepe was asked whether Africa may host the World Cup once more.

The South African business magnate said, “Nigeria must make a bid. The Nigerian president (Bola Tinubu) is scheduled to attend the final on Sunday. “I’ll talk to him about it.”

Nigeria’s Vice President, Kashim Shettima, was in attendance when the Super Eagles overcame South Africa 4-2 on penalties in the semi-finals on Wednesday.

The match will begin at 9 p.m. Nigerian time on Sunday.
