AFCON 2023 FINAL: Nigeria vs Ivory Coast: Peseiro announces the Super Eagles starting lineup

Nigeria’s coach, Jose Peseiro, has revealed his starting eleven for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations against host Ivory Coast.

Zaidu Sanusi, the Porto defender who missed the semi-final against South Africa, has returned to the club after passing a late fitness test.

The other lineup alteration is Samuel Chukwueze replacing Moses Simon.

Stanley Nwabali remained in the net, while Semi Ajayi, William Troost-Ekong, and Calvin Bassey all maintained their defensive positions.

Despite criticism from fans who believe his work rate is low, Alex Iwobi starts in midfield alongside Frank Onyeka.

Victor Osimhen will lead the attack, with Ademola Lookman and Samuel Chukwueze joining from the wings.

The Super Eagles are expected to line up in a 3-4-3 configuration.

Nigeria’s XI: Nwabali, Ajayi, Troost-Ekong, Bassey, Aina, Zaidu, Onyeka, Iwobi, Lookman, Chukwueze, and Osimhen.

The Final 2023 Africa Cup of Nations match will begin at 9 p.m. Nigeria time at Alassane Ouattara Stadium in Abidjan
