Ademola Adeleke, the governor of Osun State, speaks about new minimum wage for state employees

Ademola Adeleke, the governor of Osun State, stated that his administration is putting the finishing touches on a new minimum wage for state employees.

Speaking at Osun State University’s 14th convocation, he emphasised the backing his administration has given to several efforts aimed at fostering the institution’s expansion.

Adeleke gave workers his word that his administration will do all within its power to lessen the effect of fuel subsidies on government jobs.

The university has also received support from the state government in building an ultra-modern Anatomy Complex, finishing an office complex at the Isale-Osun campus, and giving priority to building roads that connect to Sasha Market’s student area and other campuses.

Adeleke gave all employees palliative allowances in addition to paying staff members’ arrears for a full year.

He exhorted employees and students to uphold their commitment to their duties and serve the nation with honour.

As their children enter the next stage of their lives, he advised parents and guardians to hold on to them.

Prof. Clement Adebooye, the university’s vice chancellor, praised all parties involved for their dedication to the advancement of the institution.

He thanked the graduating students and said they were ready to work as technocrats, public servants, or entrepreneurs for their nation and the world economy.
